Newcastle United to sign former Liverpool playmaker?

October 13, 2021 – 21:07

Newcastle United were keen to sign former Liverpool playmaker Philippe Coutinho in January.

  • Arsenal Missed Signing Former Stars?
  • Arsenal to bid £25m for the Dutch striker?
  • The Brazilian was a huge favorite during his five seasons with the Reds, but he left them for Barcelona three years ago.

Since then, the 29-year-old has struggled for form and consistency, and has been touted for a return to the Premier League.

Leicester City and Arsenal have been linked with his services in the past, but neither has made an official offer for him.

According to Bild, there is now real interest in Coutinho from the Magpies and the club are considering a mid-season deal.

The Blaugrana still owe Liverpool €43m for their record transfer fee, and part of that amount depends on the appearances made.

They will have to pay the Reds around €20 million if Coutinho plays 100 games for them. He is currently in 96 appearances for the club.

It’s no surprise that the Catalan giants refused to play him ahead of his possible exit during the winter transfer window.

The changes to the rules will take effect in the 2021-22 school year.

CHAMPIONS 2021: Texas wins DI . men’s championship | Virginia wins DI . women’s championship

    A bona fide competition

The Panel approved the adjustment of wording around bona fide competition criteria for USA Swimming and USA Diving encounters that may form part of the team schedule and count towards qualification in the swimming and diving championships. The aim is to ensure that participation in designated USA Swimming and USA Diving meetings takes place while representing the school.

Events must appear on the school schedule so qualifying times can be reached at all events. The following criteria are required:

    • The competition must be between two or more teams of the same gender from different colleges and schools at the same time and place.
    • Any bona fide encounter as defined above that is approved or approved by USA Swimming and USA Diving must follow the rules and regulations.
    • Select USA Swimming and USA Diving acceptable for achievement of time standards, consideration standards and optional entry standards may be set annually by the Men’s and Women’s Swimming and Diving Committee in all three divisions.

Examples of encounters where time standards can be achieved include the US National Swimming Championships, the FINA World Swimming Championships, and the US Swimming Pro Series.

    Other rule changes:

    • Use of kinesiology tape for divers during competition will be permitted.
    • Standard size and spacing of pool lines at the bottom of the pool at the new facility to comply with USA Swimming and FINA regulations. Specifically, the painted T at the bottom of the pool will be 2 meters (about 6½ feet) from the end wall, not the current 5 feet.
    • Divers will be allowed one practice forward approach or one approach take-off before the start of the diving competition if a separate dive well is not used.

College wrestling standings: debuts wrestling awards for 2019 season

INDIANAPOLIS — The has released the debut standings for the 2019 Wrestling Awards to be awarded in March at the Division I, II and III Wrestling Championships respectively.

The inaugural Wrestling Awards were presented at the 2012 wrestling championships. Three awards, awarded in each division, honor the Most Dominant Wrestler as well as the student athlete who has accumulated the most falls and the most technical falls throughout the regular and postseason courses.

MORE: Penn State holds the No. 1 more unbeaten run in NWCA polls

For fall and tech fall to count, they must come up against an opponent in the same division (i.e. Division II vs. Division II). The ties in the two categories were broken on the basis of aggregate time.

Division I was paced in the fall by Central Michigan heavyweight Matt Stencel and 165-pound George Mason Colston DiBlasi with 12 falls. Stencel has made the job faster than his opponents to hold off the aggregate time tiebreak by 25 minutes over DiBlasi. Kent State’s Andrew McNally is the only other Division I wrestler in double digits with 10 dropping at 184 pounds.

A three-way draw with eight falls marked the Division II standings between Evan Loughman of Lake Erie, Justin Folley of Upper Iowa and Alan Diltz of Seton Hill. Loughman won the tiebreak with an aggregate time of 17:01 in the heavyweight division to take first place ahead of 133-pound Folley and Diltz.

The heavyweights lead in all three divisions as James Bethel of SUNY Oneonta is the only leader in Division III with 12 throws ahead of the wrestler’s eight strokes with 11 downs. Heidelberg 184-pound Dylan Roth led the tight group to take second place overall with 17:45 on aggregate.

Last year’s winner for most tech drops got off to a strong start to repeat in Division I as Lock Haven’s Kyle Shoop has started the season with 10 tech drops. Oklahoma State 133-pounder Daton Fix is second with nine, while 2017 Minnesota finalist Ethan Lizak is third with eight.

MORE: Penn State stays on top of the power ratings

A pair of 184-pound Division II pace with four technologies fell as Heath Gray of Central Oklahoma held the tiebreak in aggregate time, 18:13 to 19:44, over Daniel Bishop of Augustana (South Dakota). UIndy heavyweight Dylan Faulkenberg took an eight-way lead from three tech falls he collected in just eight minutes.

149-pound messiah Stephen Maloney has earned 11 tech falls in Division III to lead by two over Heidelberg’s Jeremiah Slagle and three over Mount Union’s 133-pound Jordin James.

Cheers and Cheers Abound for New UK Online Gambling Law

    09/29/2021 at 8:29 PMCategory:Soccer Game

Published on May 19, 2014 by Bob Hartman

The everyday consumer, once again, will not be harmed or helped by a law implemented by a country that is meant to add further rules and regulations to the most confusing online gambling and sports betting industry.

The new law this time comes from the UK and is meant to compel gaming operators in any jurisdiction where they have been licensed (outside the UK), to obtain a license from the UK which will allow them to offer betting options to UK gamblers.

The new law, which is likely to be finalized on July 1, and is likely to take full effect on September 1, will cost operators up to $25,000 in the first year and more than $200,000 annually if they meet certain dollar minimums. However, the more contentious aspect of the law is the 15% tax on UK bettors’ income.

“The high cost of these requirements is likely to create another scenario that will help unregulated and unlicensed operators gain a greater foothold in the industry,” said CGW analyst Ryan Murphy.

Regulations supported in the new law are regulations that compel newly licensed offshore operators to detect and report scrupulous behavior to protect against money laundering, and to help sports leagues detect cheating scandals. Also, some of the money will be used for further research into gambling problems and helping those in need of support.

It is also possible that legal action will be taken by a reputable operator outside the UK. According to legal experts from, the actions taken by these players could eventually slow down the implementation of the law, maintaining the status quo for the time being.

By complicating licensing and creating so many costly hurdles for legitimate operators outside the UK, those operators can choose not to get a license and refuse bets to UK players. This will open the door for black market operators who will be happy to take bets from any player in the world without following licensing and regulatory procedures.

“In a market that is already operating optimally, it is difficult to understand the purpose of this new UK law,” Murphy told us. “This could create another wild-west situation that will only hurt consumers once again.”

Naomi Osaka sees tennis back ‘soon’ after feeling ‘itch’ to play again

Four-time Grand Slam champion Naomi Osaka looks set to return to tennis shortly after the “itch” to play again.

Osaka said at the US Open earlier this month that she would be taking a break from playing to concentrate on her mental health following her third-round loss to Leylah Fernandez.

But the 23-year-old said on HBO’s “The Shop” that he still loves the sport and already wants to get back on the court.

“I know I’ll be playing again, maybe soon because I’m a bit itchy again,” he said. “But it doesn’t matter to me if I win or lose. I’ll just be happy to be back on the pitch.”

Osaka, who has slumped to seventh in the world, said tough matches were starting to weigh on her and she needed a break to freshen up.

“I used to like competition and was just competitive. If I play long matches, the longer the more fun for me,” he said.

“Then I started to feel — recently — I was getting more and more stressed. But I just needed a break to get into myself.”

Roger Federer has added his voice to growing calls for changes in the way players and the media interact after players’ mental health issues came into the spotlight when Osaka withdrew from back-to-back French Opens with tournament officials due to media duties.

Sloane Stephens and Shelby Rogers also spoke after their US Open game about how social media abuse was impacting their mental health.

Federer, who shares a record 20 men’s majors with Rafa Nadal and Novak Djokovic, said the situation needed to be reconsidered.

“I think players, tournaments, journalists, we need to sit together in a room and say, ‘OK, what works for you and what works for us,'” Federer told Britain’s GQ magazine on Monday.

“We need a revolution. Or at least an evolution of where we are today.

“Even when I feel down, I know I have to act in a certain way in front of the world’s press. We need to remember that tennis players are athletes and professionals, but we are human too.”

Asian Gaming Market A Force To Consider

Let’s say you want to stay on the right side of the law when opening an online casino or sportsbook or want to know the ins and outs of a particular jurisdiction in Asia. In this case, you should definitely seek advice from the experts. The market attracts operators with untapped potential, but this area is not easy to enter. To know what to ask, read our new overview of business opportunities in Macau, Hong Kong, the Philippines and the rest of Asia.

Asia has always been a topic of interest for international gambling operators — a region with many developed economies and home to 60% of the world’s population. Add to this the blazing fast adoption rate of digital technology, and you have a continent full of opportunity.

Strict regulations and a conservative government make it a challenging landscape for operators to navigate. However, it would be a mistake to remove Asia. There seems to be a trend towards gradual legalization. Many countries where gambling has long been outlawed have witnessed the rise of black markets run by gambling syndicates, which offer no player protection or transparency. To combat this phenomenon — and monetize the locals’ new entertainment habits — several countries are changing their approach, slowly opening the door to the legalization of gambling starting from brick-and-mortar operations like the one in Vietnam.

Some areas are definitely fun to operate but tricky to figure out. For example, the fulfillment of the Indian market which is in the hands of each state. Japan and Cambodia see integrated resorts as the only way to make gambling happen.

Undoubtedly there are countries that do not have the opportunity to enter, such as China or Taiwan, which only allow state-run lotteries. But other Asian countries are welcome to take a look at the new market participants. Read on for an overview of Asia’s major gambling markets researched by Slotegrator.
